There are quite a few charities in Salobrena it seems. I personally go for Paws for Thought as it does a very good job in limiting the feral cat population. I understand we already have given some support and think we should continue.

Donald---agree to a certain extent. We have thought of a 'graffiti wall'--but Ayuntamiento was not 'grabbed' by the idea. When i last spoke to the Alcalde the indications were that the Ayun would pay for the paint. We are currently trying to get this moved forward in November--together with the NEW childrens equipment and the excercise equipment. We will also be approaching laCaixa Bank for another donation as they have a scheme for donating to projects within the commuinty. We received 200e last year for the Gazebo.

Is there a local version of Banksy? There was some artistic graffiti on the wall opposite the nusery (now pulled down).

Painting over graffiti is rarely effective.  Unless you use spray resistant paint, which is very expensive, it just provides a blank canvas for more graffiti.  Encouraging artistic graffiti may be more effective, for example.
