Friday 3 April 11:00am on Zoom Video Conferencing…
As we approach week three of the lock down imposed to help counter the Corona Virus pandemic sweeping the globe we know how isolating it can make us feel. At this time of year we are usually enjoying getting together with our fellow members to catch up and share a coffee at the Hotel Salobreña Suites. Obviously that’s out of the question for now.
But many people are keeping their spirits up thanks to technology. Video calls are being used even more than ever before to keep in touch with friends and family.
Members can join the chat using the Zoom application available on PC, iPhones, iPads, Android mobiles and tablets.
You have the choice to automatically download a small application to enable you to join the video/audio calls or, you can access them using just your web browser by clicking the link that pops up when you want to join.
At this stage we are just testing the system and meetings are limited to 40 minutes before the connection is lost, but if successful and popular we could consider subscribing for the service for the duration of the lockdown to enable longer connections and more options to enhance the experience.
Members will receive an email inviting them to join the chat before the meeting starts.
If you have any questions or problems, please do not hesitate to let us know by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing (and hearing) you!
