Organic Olive Mill Trip and Lunch
5th June 2019 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm
Free
As you probably know, the International Club is providing the opportunity for Club Members to learn about the growing and production of organic olive oil. Click here to see the original flyer for details.
On Wednesday, 5 June, a visit has been arranged to a modern organic oil producer in Orgiva. A free trip but originally limited to 20 members. However, the great news is that we have now been able to secure more places
Club members can meet at Buenavista, home of ICS member, Tina Emmott, in Orgiva, from 10.30am. After coffee and comfort break, members can either drive or walk down to the mill.
The owner will introduce a video explaining how the trees are grown and harvested, often by families, and then you will see how the oil is extracted and bottled. There will be opportunity for any questions to be answered. Then there’s a chance to taste the different oils and maybe make a purchase if you like what you taste!
Following the visit lunch has been arranged for up to 35 at Venta Maria. An Italian family, living in Lanjaron, produce a good variety of home cooked Italian fare at very reasonable prices. You just pay for what you choose to eat
If you haven’t got your name down for this opportunity please drop Belinda an email at icsalobrena2016@gmail.com to reserve your place. Don’t forget to mention if you intend to stay for lunch at the restaurant.
