Weekly Update Fourteen
Hi and welcome to this week’s Weekly Update for a run down on everything that’s going on in ICS this week and more…
Wow! Last Wednesday was so much fun! Our Easter Fun day Flew! Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a success. Lesley for her Kitty Angels Bake Sale. Everyone who brought along prizes for the raffle too! It seemed to go on forever! Everyone who baked and everyone who helped sell the tasty treats! 327 Euros raised for the little kitties too!

Thanks to everyone who came along proudly with their Easter bonnets! It is fair say you exceeded our expectations in terms of the number of entries AND the creativity shown!

Thanks to all of you voting for your favourites on our voting form and Congratulations to Sharon Craddock for winning the Easter Bake off Challenge and to Angelique Paridean for winning the Easter Bonnet Challenge! Eash received Prize and certificate!

Finally the Bunny Booth Green Screen Photography! What a hoot! Some amazing photos to mark the occasion!

This week we have two coaches heading for the Alpujarras!
Read on for details below…
Monday 21 April
As usual our Mah Jong Red Dragons will be getting together at Hotel Miba for more Mah Jong fun at 11 am. Newbies are always welcome to come along and see how it goes. Players now enjoy a tasty breakfast at the Hotel Miba too!
On Monday afternoon at 4:30pm our Ukulele Strumblies will be back to rehearsals at Bar Amigos. We continue with our fantastic new set of songs so it’s a lot of fun. If you would like to come along and try playing, just let us know in advance and we can have a uke ready for you to try. If you would like to come along and join in the singing, that is fine too. Maybe you would like to come along to enjoy the practice!
We look forward to seeing you!
Tuesday 22 April
A, B, C – Art Backgammon and Chess…
All at Hotel Salobreña Suites at 11am. This week we have arranged for the art group to be able to use a table indoors, either in the Games area next to the TV lounge or in a spare function room.
Backgammon and Chess as usual in the Bar area or terrace.
It is time for our Alpujarran Adventure! We have two coaches heading up to the Alpujarras. Coach One, the larger coach is starting in Almuñecar at 07:40h and picking up at Salobreña at 08:00h while Coach Two starts in Salobreña at 08:00h and picks up at Velez De Benaudalla at 08:20h. If you are coming on the trip you should have already received your detailed itinerary email which tells you which pick up point you have and which coach you are on. Please do make sure that you get on the correct coach number at Salobreña as it will ensure we get away promptly for our fun day out!
If you have not received your detailed itinerary but expect to be coming along on the trip then please do get in touch to let us know!
If you are not coming along on our trip, you are of course welcome to come along as usual to the Hotel Salobreña Suites for coffee and a chat, just bear in mind that there will be fewer members around.
Thursday 24 April
Nothing Today!
Friday 25 April
Again, at the time of writing this we don’t know whether the Petanca Pitches in Park El Fuente next to Dia Super Market in Salobreña will be match fit. If not we will be back on the two pitches opposite the Casa Roja. We will let you know for sure what is happening. If we are opposite the Casa Roja then we are limited to 24 players so will have to coordinate exact numbers beforehand again.
Wherever we are we will need to be there for 10:15am to be sure of getting allocated a team. Play starts at 10:30am. We will of course send a message out on the day if the weather is unkind and we cancel. If you would like adding to our WhatsApp Broadcast list for Petancas please do let us know.
Saturday 26 April
Day Off!
Sunday 27 April
Another Day Off!
