Please join us on 21 May for a cultural excursion to Bodega Cuatro Vientos, the perfect place to learn about wine production, enjoy a wine tasting, and share a restaurant meal. A working bodega, Cuatro Vientos produces the Mallafolla, 4V, and Marquis de la Contraviesa brands, all famed locally for their palatable taste.
Transportation Schedule
- 10:20 – Departure from Almuñécar Bus Station (boarding at 10:15)
- 10:40 – Departure from Salobreña, Café Goya (boarding at 10:35)
- 11:00 – Departure from Vélez de Benaudalla, near the Welcome Fountain (boarding at 10:55)
- 12:15 – Arrival at Finca Cuatro Vientos Bodega
Touring Finca Cuatro Vientos Bodega
We will begin the visit by touring the vineyard garden, explaining our geographical location as well as each building that makes up our complex. We will also visit the threshing floor and the Threshing and Farming Museum, where antique working tools from the area are on display.
Next, we will visit the “Soul of the Winery” Museum, which includes a presentation explaining how wines were traditionally made in this area. After the presentation, we will visit the aging cellar, where we can see the barrels, wine cellars, tasting room, and tower. To end our visit, we will taste a wine—white, red, or rosé. At approximately 2:00 PM, we will proceed to the dining room to enjoy your chosen menu.
Lunch at Finca Cuatro Vientos Bodega
The first course, served per five people, includes a house salad and an Iberian cured meat platter. The second course offers a choice of grilled pork chop or grilled salmon, served with potatoes. The third course is a homemade dessert. Drinks are served per five people and include one bottle of water, one bottle of wine, one bottle of soda, and one pitcher of beer.
Return Transportation Schedule
- 16:00 – Depart for return journey
- 17:10 – Arrival at Vélez de Benaudalla, near the Welcome Fountain
- 17:35 – Arrival at Salobreña, Café Goya
- 17:55 – Arrival at Almuñécar Bus Station
