Wednesday 19 November
This week Lesley O’Brien will be hosting another popular Kitty Angels Bake Sale selling delicious home baked goodies whether sweet or savoury with proceed in aid of Kitty Angels Kitten and Cat Charity. Thanks to those members who have volunteered to bake for the sale and if you would like to help you can still donate a prize for the raffle and also make sure that you come along on the day to support and enjoy the treats!
There will also be opportunity to speak to some committee members about the fun to be had by joining the ICS Committee!
ICS Committee 2026 – 2028
Thanks to those of you who have already expressed interest in joining our committee next year and also those interested in our key roles of President, Treasurer and Secretary. Ideally these will be filled by members who spend the great majority of their time here in Spain.
But we still have more roles to fill so please do come forward and volunteer to help. Lately we have appointed committee members for two year periods but it is understandable that there might be genuine concerns about taking on that length of time for a commitment that you might be unfamiliar with. So, for that reason it is perfectly fine to volunteer for a year to see how it goes initially.
Thursday 20 November – Day off!
Friday 21 November we return to Park Fuente in Salobreña to play Petancas at 10:15am. Please make sure that you get there in time to be allocated a team. we start play at 10:30am. Afterwards we encourage our players to visit Cafeteria Los Patos for a drink. They are our fantastic sponsor and provide our monthly trophy and prize for the player with the most points scored in the month.

Don’t forget that the viaduct on the motorway going to Granada continues to be closed from 9 September to 19 December for repair work. To get to Granada you have to use the old road N323. It may take a bit longer to get to an appointment in San Cecilio hospital in Granada.

We do have a very few seats left so please do book straight away if you want to ensure that you are coming along!

Transport Sharing Reminder
Don’t forget that we encourage all of our members to think about transport sharing whenever possible for our activities and events. There are members who don’t have a private car and would dearly love to get involved more with the fun things going on. So if you are able to offer a lift, why not mention it on our ICS Facebook Members Group page so anyone can take you up on the offer. On the other hand if you are in need of a lift for one of our events or activities then please don’t be shy to mention it to us on the same page or let us know in Committee if you are happy for us to see if we can find someone who can help!
Thank you again for your continued support of the International Club!
