Welcome and thanks for taking time to get to know more about our Club. The International Club is first and foremost a Social club which fosters friendship and harmony and where newcomers are welcome and may benefit from the experiences of more established residents in this part of the Med.

Our official language is English but our members - c.160 - come from many parts of the world: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Czech Rep., Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, S. America, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the U.K. and the U.S.A. The largest group of members reside in the Salobreña Municipality but many live as far East as Castel del Ferro, as far West as La Herradura y Jete, and to the North, from Granada, Lecrín Valley, Padúl and Las Alpujarras. Some of us are permanent residents  and others come and go to their countries of origin for varying periods.

The I.C.S. meets year-round on Wednesdays (except from mid-July to mid-Sept. and a short break at Xmas) the location depending on the activity. Invited Talks, Social Gatherings and Book-Swaps are held at Hotel Salobreña (Best Western Hotels) starting at 11:00 whilst other activities and trips take us farther afield. To check what´s planned in the weeks ahead, please see our  Calender of Events.

GOOD NEIGHBOURS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:  The ICS runs the ECO RASTRO held on 1st Saturdays monthly at Parque de la Fuente (stallholders sell crafts, antiques and 2nd hand goods) The fees we collect go to a Salobreña project in collaboration with the Ayuntamiento. To date we have installed a Pergola, Park Benches and Kiddies´play-equipment in the Park. ICS Volunteers have initiated a campaign to eliminate grafitti which was publicly thanked by the Alcalde. In the near future we will cooperate with other Groups and the Ayuntamiento to restore the Castle flood-lighting and encourage the restoration of the Moorish Castle. We liaise with the High School Instituto Nazarí to contribute to their annual English Week. The Club Community involvement allows ex-pats to integrate and be seen as caring neighbours rather than as visiting foreigners.

We look forward to meeting you.  Meantime, check out our Photo Gallery, Web Links and  History of the Club.  See you soon.
